Problem Description
During the update of my COMSOL Multiphysics 5.5 installation to update 2 (build number 5.5.0.352), the LiveLink for CAD product is uninstalled, and after the update I can no longer find the COMSOL Multiphysics tab in the user interface of the CAD software, or find the LiveLink for CAD button in the user interface of COMSOL Multiphysics, or synchronize the geometry between the CAD software and COMSOL Multiphysics.
Solution
To work around this, please do the following:
Go to the COMSOL Multiphysics installation directory. If the default installation directory is used, this is
C:\Program Files\COMSOL\COMSOL55\Multiphysics.From the COMSOL Multiphysics installation directory, launch the Setup shortcut.
When the installer has started, select Add/Remove Products and Reinstall.
On the following screen, make sure that the LiveLink for CAD products are selected in the Products list, and then proceed with the installation. (Note: If you also have the Composite Materials Module, please ensure that it is also selected in the Products list).
