Biomechanical Model of the Human Body in a Sitting Posture
Application ID: 19497
The dynamic response of a human body in any vibration environment can be predicted using this biomechanical model. In the automobile industry for instance, this model can be used in ride quality simulation and designing vibration isolators such as seats.
In this example, a biomechanical model of the human body is developed to evaluate the dynamic response to the vertical vibrations in a sitting posture.
This model demonstrates how the Multibody Dynamics interface can be used to model various parts and connections in a human body, as well as to study the whole body vibrations (WBV).
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
The combination of COMSOL® products required to model your application depends on several factors and may include boundary conditions, material properties, physics interfaces, and part libraries. Particular functionality may be common to several products. To determine the right combination of products for your modeling needs, review the Grille des Spécifications and make use of a free evaluation license.
