Data export in transient simulations

I am doing a 3D transient temperature-dependent solid mechanics simulation. The simulation time is around 500 s and I save the values every second.
At the end, I define points on my domain where I want to export the transient data (Results->Data Sets -> Cut Point 3D). Then, Comsol needs a very long time (up to an hour or even longer) to grab the data and to write it to a txt file. Is there a faster way to export transient data pointwise?
I know the probe plots, but they need to be defined in advance and I want to export the data at "interesting points" after having visually evaluated the simulation results.
Thanks, Marcel
