modeling dispersive materials at optical frequencies for nano-antennas

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

I'm going to model some nano particles at optical frequencies and I want to use the the refractive index (complex permittivity) given by Palik or Johnson and Christy. In their papers, the permittivity of metals at the infrared and visible frequency varies. I'm wondering if I can import these data to COMSOL since I need to study the frequency response of some nano structures. (right now, I'm using the Drude model to fit these data, though it is not accurate.)

Thanks,
Tony
