Swirl Flow Option For The Fan Boundary Condition

I came across this post recently. Too bad Comsol closed the discussion, I couldn't reply to the OP. In case someone searches the same topic via google, here is a possible cause for the swirl not working: The r_bp coordinates in the fan bc for the swirl option must be given in the global coordinates. It's a common mistake to give it in local coordinates relative to the center of the fan; that is 0,0,0. On the other hand, swirl ratio can be estimated from the blade geometry of the actual fan.
