Fluid-Thermal Interaction

My model is basically a tube where air of a certain temperature is pumped in at one end and exits the other. Inside there are a couple of solid bodies that generates heat. The idea is to cool off these solid bodies by convection.
- First I get the initial values that is the temperatures, the solid bodies starts off a bit warmer than the tube.
- Then I solve the stationary Navier-Stokes to get the air flow. This step takes about 0.5h with finer mesh, about 60 000 elements.
- Then I use a time dependent segregated solver for just the heat part. This works for solving heat dissipation for 10s with a step size of 0.2s (takes 29h), but when I increase the step size and the time it won’t converge. In order to get something interesting out of this model I more or less need at least 0.5h of heat dissipation.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
