- First of all, look up "Saving and Opening Recovery Files" in the help system. Using this feature is the easiest thing to do.
- I recommend powering your computer with a fairly decent quality uninterruptible power supply (UPS). This will protect you for at least several minutes, depending on capacity.
- Also, if you have a UPS with sufficient capacity, it just may provide you with enough minutes of run-time for you to go outside, set up, and start your modest-sized inverter-type generator (You have one, right? Doesn't everyone? :-) ), then unroll and connect a long power cable going all the way back to your UPS, all before the UPS shuts down!
