Summary of Major News in COMSOL Multiphysics® Version 6.3

In this archived webinar, we give a brief overview of the new and updated functionality in COMSOL Multiphysics® version 6.3. We share the refreshed look-and-feel of the user interface (UI) and the new capabilities for an improved user experience in the software. These updates include an interactive Java environment, an optional chatbot that can assist with Java programming, and new geometry preparation tools for higher-quality meshes. Next, we show several enhancements for results and visualization and discuss the significant performance improvements in the software, including GPU-based training support for surrogate models.

Then, we discuss the new capabilities for simulating acoustics, structural mechanics, fluid flow, heat transfer, chemical and electrochemical reactions, and electromagnetics. We conclude the presentation with an overview of the Electric Discharge Module, a new add-on product for running detailed simulations of electric discharges in gases, liquids, and solids.
