Keynote: Advancing Multiphysics Analysis with Simulation Apps
In his keynote talk at the COMSOL Conference 2016 Boston, Ed Furlani from University at Buffalo (UB) SUNY discusses how he uses the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for everything from understanding physical concepts at the fundamental level to producing and commercializing new technology. Furlani and two of his graduate students, Kai Liu and Viktor Sukhotskiy, also speak to how simulation apps have enabled them to streamline and advance their research and development processes.
With a background in both theoretical research and commercial development, Ed Furlani teaches chemical, biological, and electrical engineering at University at Buffalo. He also develops computational models for nano- and microstructured materials and devices in a variety of applications.
