Double Gauss Lens Image Simulation
Application ID: 88661
This example demonstrates how to import a bitmap which can be used to simulate an image using ray tracing. The example is based on the Double Gauss Lens tutorial from the Ray Optics Module Application Library.
The first study has been modified so that the Spot Diagram "auto-focus" tool can be used to determine the location of the finite conjugate focal plane. The second study allows rays to be launched from an object surface based on the imported bitmap. These rays are then accumulated on the focal surface to create an image.
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
The combination of COMSOL® products required to model your application depends on several factors and may include boundary conditions, material properties, physics interfaces, and part libraries. Particular functionality may be common to several products. To determine the right combination of products for your modeling needs, review the Grille des Spécifications and make use of a free evaluation license.
