buoyancy and convection - 3D simulation does not converge

Hi! Dear all,

I am now attempting to simulate the flow nearby the surfaces of an aluminum wedge, which immersed in stable thermal stratified fluid(water). Due to the metallic wedge's high conductivity, the fluid in the immediate vicinity of the slopes will be heated or cooled, then an upslope/downslope flow will occur. For 2D case, I used NITF module and a stationary solver, which can get reliable results. However for 3D case(as the attached file, I built it on a remote server. maybe some boundary conditions are wrong), no matter what solver I try, it just can't reach convergence.

Does anyone has any references or user experience about that kind of problem?Any information is good. This model bugs me for some time. Many thanks!

Best,
YP Liu

Sorry, I forgot to add volume force (-nitf.rho*g_const) to the fluid, which was included in my other models.
