Conducting wire

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I'm trying to model a simple straight wire in COMSOL 5.0, with a magnetic field due to a current running through it. I'm using Magnetic and Electric Fields (mef). I tried to apply the current using lumped ports at either end of the wire, but this doesn't seem to be working.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

I just used mef once and remember that you can apply currents with magnetic insulation.
If you just use mf, you can either do a external current density or single turn coil.
I'm a newbie myself, this is all what I know.

Thank you! I managed to apply the current using magnetic insulation.
