Gravity

I am modeling two acoustic horns with an air volume in between them. I am curious, do I need to assign a volume force for gravity (-g_const*rhoair) to the laminar flow node if I am assigning gravity to the particle tracing node? I have read through the manual and some discussions but that only left me more confused (I have heard arguments in both directions, but the topics didn't really apply to my model). It would seem that the volume force is very small compared to the other forces at work, but my concern is that the particle-fluid interaction interface will double the effect of gravity in both the laminar flow node and the particle tracing node. Can anyone offer any help with this? I am pretty new (<10 weeks) to COMSOL.
