Pump simulation

Hey,

I got a problem for simulation of a diaphragm. I applied a sin force onto diaphragm but the deflection only has downward movement and return to horizontal level. I think it should be moved up and down but now only one way.
Anyone know? (Do I need to apply something like dynamic mesh or relative stuff)

Another question is:

My case is to simulate a valve-less micropump and membrane is actuated by PZT disk. There is a example which can be downed but Comsol 4.0 is not able to open it. Is anyone got relative example which can be opened by 4.0??

I appreciate any help and information.

Hi,

may I know do you doing your PHD project?

Anyway, it is interesting to look the deformation of the micropump in simulation

I will follow up your post as I also need to do some simulation on micropump.

Let me know if you already find the solution.

Thanks

Hey,

This is a part of my PhD and I need to optimize the dimension of real pump.

Waiting for expert!

Hi,
great.

I just start my PHD in this topic.and may be next month will try on simulation.May be we can have sharing about that.

my email: pschee86@hotmail.com

may I know what country you form?
I from Malaysia.

Hey,

I am really happy to hear from you.

I am in UK and this is my second year of mine. I have several friends come from Malaysia as well.

I'm starting work with a simulation of a valveless micropump ( with actuator type disk- PZT).

Do you know the model of the frequency response of the PZT thin disk? or model of the PZT disk?

Thanks a lot
