I have a question regarding the visualisation of the velocity profile in a fluidic model.
Am I right that the velocity profile is stored in Vu? (V = Nablaoperator)
| (dUu/dx) (dUv/dx) (dUw/dx) |
Vu = | (dUu/dy) (dUv/dy) (dUw/dy) |
| (dUu/dz) (dUv/dz) (dUw/dz) |
Am I right that the velocity in x-axis direction is calculated like
(dUu/dx) + (dUv/dx) + (dUw/dx) which is in comsol nomenclatur ux+vx+wx
Am I right that the velocity in y-axis direction is calculated like
(dUu/dy) + (dUv/dy) + (dUw/dy) which is in comsol nomenclatur uy+vy+wy
Am I right that the velocity in z-axis direction is calculated like
(dUu/dz) + (dUv/dz) + (dUw/dz) which is in comsol nomenclatur uz+vz+wz
And the overall velocity is calculated like a sum of all
(dUu/dx) + (dUv/dx) + (dUw/dx) + (dUu/dy) + (dUv/dy) + (dUw/dy) + (dUu/dz) + (dUv/dz) + (dUw/dz)
Or is there another way how this values are combined like using the determinant?
I would be very thankful for a feedback
With kind regards
