How to apply in COMSOL...?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am trying to solve two equations in COMSOL, 1st for u and 2nd for v. Both equations involve u and v, that is, they are coupled. In first equation, i give the exact value of v (e.g. v = f(x)) to solve the 1st equation for u. But in second equation for v, COMSOL should take the value of u from the 1st solved equation. Can i do this in COMSOL?

When i tried to do this, COMSOL says, duplicate variable name for v.

I shall be very thankful, if anybody can comment on it.

Amer

Hi

you cannot define "v" as a variable in two places but you can define it once and use it elsevhere, inluding derivatives etc. If you are beginning with COMSOl I would suggest to borrow the book of Zimmermann from your librbary and go through a few of the excercices, see

Good luck
