I am calling back an apparently really ancient problem, but I haven't find any satisfactory answer yet.
I used comsol to create a 2D model. Basically advection of 3 variables somehow coupled, I used the PDE interface. I then saved the code as a .m file and I cleaned all the extra stuff created by comsol, so I only have the solver and the stored solution.
I then try to plot and calculate something from this solutions (many solutions with different mashes and polynomial degrees) with another script that basically uses the functions mphload, mphplot, mpheval, mphint2, mphmin and mphmax.
Some of the files are pretty massive (up to 23 GB) so I do not expect the analysis and plotting to proceed extremely fast. But I tryed everything with much smaller solutions (coarser meshes) and even with a 60 kB file the loading-plotting procedure is quite slow and the load doesn't seem to come from the mphload (it took 3 minutes to load a 5 GB solution)
Is there any way to speed up the whole procedure?
Thanks
