calculate transmittance using ray tracing

Owe to some optical element are far greater than the wavelength,so I try to use geometrical optics to simulate the light propagate in optical element. But how to calculate the transmittance in it. A simplest problem iswhen a ray passes from air to water, how to calculate the energy of the reflected and refracted light with ray tracing method.
Thanks!

Which module are you using? Does the equations solved there really contain more information than traced ray?

Thanks for your reply. I used geometrical optics to solve it. But I can noly obtain the track of the ray. I wish to calculate the transmittance of every refracted and reflected ray.

I never used geometrical optics module, but I doubt it holds more information than ray trace.

This is now possible using the new Ray Optics Module which was released with V5.0:

Some example models can be found here:
