PMLs in structural mechanics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate a silicon ring in the eigenfrequency mode in Structural mechanics module, to compute the frequency of each mechanical mode and its quality factor. My understanding is that once I have the geometry and boundary condition properly set up, I would be able to extract that from the complex eigenfrequency solution. I read in the manual that PMLs and infinite element boundary conditions can be implemented, but I don't see it anything and couldn't find an answer after searching this forum (I did read the other threads about PMLs) and the internet.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!
