Calculating TM waveguide mode in numeric port

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear forum.
Thanks for always giving me good instinctions.

I've modified dielectric_slab_waveguide.mph from comsol user library. (RF 2D model)
And I find that when I use 'Boundary Mode Analysis', I have to use 'numeric type port'.
However, the results from numeric type port are those of TE (transverse electric) mode. ( I confirmed the result with my analytic code.)

Of course I changed the type of port to 'user defined' and 'rectangular'
But the result of TE was not same as numeric port.
So I can't trust the data from 'user defined' and 'rectangular' type.

How can I modify the polarization of port of numeric type in order to calculate Boundary mode analysis?
Or is there any way to calculate 'Boundary mode analysis' for TM mode? (same question)

Thanks for reading.

Have you solven the problems yet?
I meet a similar problem about the port definition.
Can you give me some advice?

Thanks in advance.
