The problem with calculating the eigenfrequency of a structure with PML and scatter boundary conditons

I am trying to calculate the eigenfrequency of a structure using the RF module. I use PML and scatter boundary conditions to absorb the scatter field. Since the PML and the SBC make this problem nonlinear, I need to specify an eigenvalue transform point.
However, the problem is that the eigenfrequency is strongly dependent on the value of the eigenvalue transform point. When I change the transform point a little, the eigenfrequency can change a lot. since the transform point can be an arbitrary value, which only needs to be within an order of magnitude or so of the expected resonant frequency, the eignfrequency can vary over a wide range. So how could I get the exact value of the eignfrequency?
Thanks!!
