It is not clear what you want and what you need. You must provide more information on your model and your goal.

Cheers

Hi Edgar

Thanks for your response
I design a waveguide that material of the core is Er:Ta2o5 and the substrate in top and bottom of it, is sio2
in the article that i want to simulate we have pump power and signal power, i want to calculate the gain, i think at first we should add the pump power and signal power, but i dont know how can i do that?
please help me Edgar if you work in this field.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

so you want to model a LASER process. Sorry this is far from my work and to be honest I doubt that it is possible in COMSOL in a straightforward way.
But maybe somebody can correct that.

Cheers
Edgar
