Fillet with a larger radius when neighboring points exist.

Hi, I was trying to create a geometry with two rings connected by a split path and an opening (see the attached image). I used the Booleans difference method to achieve this shape. However, I encountered an issue when trying to apply a fillet at the opening. The vertices are limiting the maximum radius of the fillet. Does anyone have suggestions on how to remove the extra points or a better way to create the desired shape? Thanks!
