Hi everyone,
I am working in the field of electrodialysis and I am new to the COMSOL modelling. Recently, I have been trying to simulate the electrodialysis process using the electrodialysis model from the application library. However, I encountered several problems and I was hoping someone could help me out.
Firstly, I was wondering if it is possible to set a Poisson equation for potential instead of electroneutrality in the model. If so, what changes in the model are required to do so?
Secondly, I would like to model the transport of weak electrolyte and simultaneously take into account chemical equilibrium. Is there a way to do this in the COMSOL electrodialysis model?
Finally, I was wondering if it is possible to imply both of the above mentioned problems with "normal" channel length (from 20 cm up to 1,5 m)? If so, how can I do it?
Additionally, I would like to mention that I have tried to implement the use of Poisson equation for potential and chemical equilibrium in the electrodialysis model, but unfortunately, I could not achieve a solution. I have checked the model inputs and boundary conditions, but I still cannot seem to find the issue. Any suggestions or advice on how to troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help. Looking forward to your responses!
Best regards, Stanislav
