Converting from 2D to 2D axisymmetric space dimension

Hello all,

I have made a model in 2D space dimension by mistake. I am wondering if it is possible to convert it to a 2D axisymmetric preventing to make the whole model again.

Hi Kianoosh,

Yes, you can add a 2D axisymmetric component in the same model and then copy and paste the physics from the 2D component to the 2D axisymmetric component. You can also open a new COMSOL model and insert the physics from the saved 2D model file using Insert Physics from the context menu that you get when right-clicking the 2D axisymmetric Component node in the new model.
