Seismic Analysis of a building using the Imperial Valley 1940, El Centro ground motion

hello everyone. so am doing a masters research on a seismic performance of a steel building with the El-centro ground motion using COMSOL Muiltphysics, but am having a challenge of where to apply the ground motion on the building to get proper building displacement-time graphs, acceleration-time graphs and velocity-time graphs. your assistance is highly appreciated thank you all in advance. Joel.
