Rotating domain VS sliding wall

Hi,

I have a question about using the moving mesh (rotating domain) and sliding wall. I made a simple geometry (attached files) and I wonder if one can shed light on why I do not get good results (you need to "build" the mesh and run it for 15 mins if needed; I can not upload files bigger than 5 MB).

My domain is simple. Two rings that are attached and include water. The inner ring is rotating (moving mesh/rotating domain) or a sliding wall BC is applied to the walls of the inner ring. I have one inlet and one outlet.

I considered several omegas (angular velocity). For omega=0 (meaning no rotation), both methods end in identical results. For non zero values for omega, I get different results and I do not know what is the problem.

Thank you!
