Difference between gain and maxgain units

Hello everyone,

While I was working with my antenna array simulation, I have realized that emw.gaindBEfar expression is represented in dBi when emw.maxGaindB expression is represented in dB.

Could someone please explain me what the difference is between these two and why is emw.maxGaindB expression represented in only dB? Shouldn't it display in dBi also?
