Eddy Currents induced in a rotating disk

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I created a simulation of a disk rotating around one o his axis inside an air domain with a constant background field. I used the "rotating machinery, magnetic" (rmm) module to solve it, but I believe the results are wrong as the show eddy currents are not showing coherent behaviour from my point of view. Maybe I am wrong but i believe that the induced currents should be flowing for the most part following a circumference. Can someone help me understand if I have the correct physics and conditions? Do I have to use another module? Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Andrea
