Hi everybody, I want to calculate the particle-wall contact number in a 3D turbulent pipe flow. For the stationary study I used k-ep turbulent module and for the second study I used Particle Tracing for Fluid Flow as a time dependent study. The turbulent flow is assumed a fully developed flow with 8.4 m/s average velocity (incompressible, No slip). The forces acting on particles are drag force (Stokes) and gravity force and the wall condition is set to Bounce. I released 100 particle in the system to make sure the system is dilute and the particle-particle interaction is negligible. For counting particle-wall contact number I used an Accumulator (type: Count, Accumulator over: particle-wall interactions). The problem is that the results are far away from what expected. Does anybody know any other ways of counting how many times every particle collides with the wall before exiting the pipe? Thanks in advance, Hadi
