Edge electrodes in 3D, consistancy of solution, corrosion module

Hi,
I don't understand the implementation of the edge elctrode in 3D in the corrosion module. The edge is dimension N-2, so for example, if you considere Butler-Volmer law on the edge you have a non-linear condition. My questions are: - How the imposed values are restricted to the edge and don't go beyond on the adjacent 3D elements ? - The electrique potential created by a wire is proportional to the distance as log(r) wich mean an infinite value at r=0 and r=infinity. How the consistancy of the solution can be assured ?
