Hello,
I am using the RF module in Comsol 4.4, and I wanted to know the physical meaning of the stiffness matrix. I was reading the reference that Comsol implements for Finite Element for Electromagnetics applications, and it says that after assembly, the solution will consist in solving two types of linear systems ( [.] represents a matrix and {.} represents a vector ):
1) [K]{Phi}={b}
2) [A]{Phi}=lambda[B]{Phi}
My question is that if the stiffness matrix [K] would represent the impedance matrix, or what is the phisical meaning of it. In the same way, I was wondering if [A] and [B] represents the real and imaginary part of the impedance matrix. In those cases, how do I know which of those systems of equations Comsol is solving. I would appreciate your help.
Jose Santos.
