Two tolerance factors for segregated solver?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, everyone:

I am using the segregated solver to do a time-dependent simulation. I found there are two settings for the tolerance factors: one is in the general setting of this solver, and the other is in each step of the solver. So I am wondering how we calculate the absolute tolerance based on these settings? For example, if the relative tolerance is 0.01, the tolerance factor in the general setting is 0.01, and the tolerance factor in each step is 0.1, then the absolute tolerance is 0.01×0.01×0.1? or just 0.01×0.01? In addition, a third tolerance factor in the settings of Time dependent solver is also found. I am very confused by the relationship of these three tolerance factors.

Could you please do me a favor?

Thank you for your help and time.
