Modelling Hysteresis in a Piezo Material

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, I am trying to model hysteresis in a piezo material (PZT-5H) by giving a ramp voltage from 0-100 V and then 100-0 V. I am using the time domain study for 2 milli secs, in which the voltage increases from 0-100 V in 1 ms and then to zero in the next 1 ms. I don't get hysteresis curve between displacement and voltage applied. It almost traverses the same path, except during a small duration of time where the voltage gets reversed, where it shows a small hysteresis. But that is not what we expect. I have given the mechanical damping, coupling loss and the dielectric loss for the piezo material as well. Still, it didn't work. Can anyone please help in modelling the hysteresis curve for the piezo material?

Thanks in advance.
