Dear all, I am doing a modal analysis of an unstable rock block to study its eigenfrequencies. One face of the limestome block was attached to the vertical cliff and therefore I set on it the FIXED CONTRAINT. However, this boundary condition is conceptually wrong since the "rock bridges" have their own stiffness. I would like therefore to set a boundary condition which take into account the Young's and Poisson's modulus of the rock compartment.
Thanks a lot for your help, Marco
