defining edges

Hi

in 3D I have a cut plane which cuts a cylinder domain and creates a circular edge.

Is it possible to create a data set of this edge?

otherwise I would need to redefine my domains so that I would get a domain edge in the desired position

as "Data Sets" only accepts domain edges

there must be a less cumbersome way of obtaining the desired data
