Comsol create new mesh (without adaptive mesh refinement)

Does anyone else know why does comsol create a second mesh for my geometry when I do not have the adaptive mesh refinement checked?? I have rather big structure (2m long) with some part having really small curved edge (5e-4 m minimum), if that matters.

Any help would be appreciated! :)
