Time dependent problem, never getting a solution

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everybody,

I want to solve a navier stokes and heat transfer problem transiently.

There are weak boundary terms and ALE as well..

When I press on the solve button I have endless runs without even getting a time value different from zero..

The solver assembles the matrice and solves the linear system but the time value never increases.

What is the problem here?

Can somebody help me?

Hi

my suggestion is to check the initial conditions, they may be too far from the final result, put some velocity, pressure drop, temeprature field, just a first guess, it often helps to set the gradients, then the sover might finds a better direction to start with, than a all flat "0"

Good luck
