How to make Domain Selections on a Mirrored composite geometry?

Dear all,

I have a composite of complicated geometry that I wish to be duplicated a certain distance from the original geometry. The Mirror facility is the natural Transformation to use, yet I cannot seem to make Domain Selections for materials that I want in the new composite. Other than mirroring each materialistic component separately and forming a Union, are there any smarter/quicker routes to building my setup?
