Orientation of Helmholtz coil in 3D

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,
I am trying to model a Helmholtz coil in 3D along arbitrary orientation. In reference model the axis of rotation of coil is parallel to y axis, thus, making coil parallel to z-x plane. What i am looking for is a way to get the same magnetic field distribution regardless of the coil orientation.
I tried using matrix rotation to transform coordinates from rect to spherical; however, the results are pretty different from the reference model.
With regards
Salman
