"out" in log file

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Below is a log file that I see when I finish running a particular problem. If you look at the log file you notice that the solver says "out" at time steps 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 .....until 1. Then finally the solver says time-stepping completed. What does this mean?

Why is the solver showing "out" at those particular times? If I see the "out" does it mean that the solution converged?

Thanks for the help.
Sirisha

Hi

"out" means that the solver is storing the results at your whish.

You must know that the solver takes many steps espcially in automatic mode demending on the changes it observes, but by default is stores only the values you are asking for.

You can change the settings so that it saves all values solved for

Good luck
