Port S-parameters in 3D and 2D axisymmetric simulations

Hello!

I simulate an open dielectric waveguide that has finite length and consists only of a core. This waveguide is excited on the one side with its fundamental mode (HE11 mode). I want to achieve reflection coefficent for this mode and for other modes, so I look for abs(S11), abs(S21)...

I've simulated this model in 3D and 2D axisymmetric geometry to verify them. The field distributions look identical for 3D and 2D simulations, but S-parameters are different. Does anyone have ideas why they are different?
