Project 3D cylinder to 2D axisymmetric coordinates

Hi
I'm doing some simulations involving a 2D axisymmetric magnetic field model and a 3D heat transfer model. My problem is how to couple the two models. I've tried to use general extrusion from 2D axisymmetric to 3D and it seemed working. Now I want to project the 3D temperature distribution into my 2D axisymmetric mf module. I'm trying to use the general projection in the component coupling but I'm confused.

Is there any example which projects 3D cylinder geometry to 2D axisymmetric geometry?

Thank you very much!
