PML thickness in RF module

Hi everyone.
i need your help.
I would like to know which PML thickness needed for RF module. Lambda=4100 nm.
I tried to do the PML thickness lambda/2, lambda and a little more than lambda: 5000 nm, 5500 nm and normE changes depending on the thickness PML , for example 4100nm-164 V/m, 4200-159, 4800-164 5000-173, 6000nm-200V/m, 6500-185 ... I don't understand why does PML thickness varies?
Yet I find follow "function" "pml1.detInvT" in one of forums, and about this I could find practically nothing. Who knows what is this?
