Solving equations in spherical coordinates

Hi all,
I need to solve an equation expressed in spherical coordinate. This is basically an one-dimensional problem if solving in spherical coordinate. But the 1-D axial symmetry option in comsol 3.5a seems to be in cylindrical coordinates. Is there any simple way to solve equation in spherical system in comsol? The problem can definitely be solved using 3D geometry, but it will cost much more mesh and therefore is not efficient.
I searched the forum and I did not find a solution for this. Thanks!
