Electrostatics Module vs Electric Currents Module

I am trying to model electric potential and field between two electrodes dipped in water. There is a thin layer of glue between the electrodes so I wanted to see what kind of boundary condition I can set for the glue. I did the simulations using both Electrostatics and Electric Currents module but I think the right way is to go is electric currents since the conductivity matters in this case. However, I cannot seem to run the simulation with electric currents. It tells me my electric potential V is undefined. I was wondering how to solve this problem.
The problem looks like it does not related to the glue boundary condition (I use Electric Insulation BC) and I use zero charge BC with the Electrostatics module. When I define the electric potential in the EC module, thats when I get the error saying that Undefined Variable V in the domain where I actually set the voltage.
Any help would be appreciated.
