two strange results from particle tracing module

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

FIRST:
I used massless formulation inside particle tracing in order to simulate the water movement inside the soil [linked particle tracing with subsurface flow module]. In post-processing when I tried to calculate the particle densities, it was 2200kg/m^3! I imposed the water density inside the other physic as 1000kg/m^3. How is it possible in massless formulation to impose the water velocity density?
or is it defined by default inside comsol the value for particles 2200kg/m^3 when user apply massless formulation?

SECOND:
In post-processing section, I tried to extract from particle tracing solution: at t=0, position of released particles: qx,qy,qz and Particle velocity at t=0. when I compared the velocity values from particles tracing and subsurface flow module(the one that I imposed for the particle tracing module). They were not the same for exact positions!! [Attached excel file].

I hope that somebody can help me and explain where is the problem.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Sepideh
