Induced current in single core power cable screen due to alternating magnetic field

Hello,

I am trying to model a single core power cable to determine the current induced in the screen of the cable in Comsol 5.1. In the model (which is attached here) I am using the Magnetic field interface and the frequency domain study.

The simulation runs fine but the value I obtain for the induced current in the screen of the cable seems to high. I apply a current of 900A using a single turn coil and calculate the induced current in the screen by performing a surface integral of the induced current density in the screen but the value seems to be too high (of the order of 100A).

Would someone please assist to explain how I can obtain the induced currents in the screen due to a current flowing through the conductor.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Same question. I want to check surface current density in coil domain using a single turn coil feature.
Unable to find the right relation between the global calculation of Comsol and the integration of currents.
Anyone?

Best regards.

Julien
