Expressions in conduction problem

when I am evaluating this expression
heta_source=rho*delta_H*d(f,t)
f=0*(T<=T_s)+((T-T_s)/(T_l-T_s))*(T_s<T<T_l)+1*(T>=T_l)
where :T_l=1540[K]
T_s=298[K]
delta_H=2275753[J/kg]
rho=6850[kg/m^3]
I am getting the error as :
failed to evaluate variable T.....

Please tell me why I am getting this error.
