2D Axisymmetric Weak form PDE

Dear COMSOL users,

I want to solve a system of PDE's using Weak form PDE in 2D axisymmetric system.
My question is: should I multiply the weak expressions by 2*pi*r or not?

Hi,

I think you need to multiply the weak expressions by 2*pi*r. This is because the derivative operation in Cylinder coordinate is a little different with that in cartesian coordinate. There were many discussion about it, you can search those discussion for detail explanation.
